Tips When Using a Cold Press Juicer

When using a cold press juicer, many times people have difficulty with soft fruit and vegetables like berries, and green leafy vegetables do not juice well. A good solution is to put the harder fruit or vegetable through first, then add the softer fruit or green leafy vegetable. Finally follow up with hard fruit or vegetables to help push everything through the juicer. Try that and let me know how it works for you.

The Kuvings Whole Foods Slow Juicer FAQs

What is Kuvings’ Warranty?

The Kuvings Slow Juicer has a 10-year limited warranty that is valid for home use when purchased from an authorized seller. Kuvings will repair or replace a defective part. Be sure to save your receipt. (Many other juicer brands have only a one-year warranty.) Also, check Amazon’s warranty.

Tips for Using a Kuvings Juicer

The Kuvings has a single on-off-reverse switch. Should anything get stuck the reverse button comes in handy. When juicing fibrous vegetables like celery, cut into smaller pieces. Kuvings recommends adding only one item at a time into the feed chute.

To prolong the life of the machine, Kuvings does not recommend using ice in the machine. For that reason, frozen fruit and vegetables should be thawed before juicing.

Is a Kuvings Juicer Dishwasher-Safe?

Unfortunately, the juicer is not dishwasher safe, and should be hand washed in warm soapy water after disassembly. Cleaning tools are provided. Clean the juicer right away after each use before anything has time to dry onto the juicer itself.

Before disassembling, it is helpful to close the smart cap on the juicing bowl and turn the juicer on and pour water through into the juice cup.

Pieces should be washed and dried before storing. Wipe the base with a damp cloth as needed.

Conclusion

Are you looking to add greater health benefits to your diet? Do you want to add an abundance of essential vitamins, antioxidants, enzymes, to your diet? Cold press juicing can do just that.

The juice stores well and retains most of its nutrients. Many people are turning to juicing their own fruit and vegetables to get greater health benefits.

The Kuvings brand has been around for over 40 years and known throughout 80 countries. It is a quality machine with a longer-than-average warranty. There are less expensive options that are not as durable. So, if you want to make juicing a lifestyle and not just a fad, the Kuvings is the way to do just that!

  1. Wow, I like the idea of a juicer that allows you to insert the whole fruit without having to cut it up first. And the fact that it doesn’t make a noise is a double bonus in my eyes.  I also love the fact that it has a flap gate system for safety of both my hands and my childrens. With space not being an issue for me the only con is the price, but this machine looks well worth saving for.

  2. I love that it is not JUST a nicer and that other things can be made with it as well.  I appreciated the tips you provided as well as some other options.

I am new to juicing and was curious if you could share with me your thoughts or another article you could point me to on the cost difference or benefits of buying lots of fruit and vegetables to make the juice versus simply eating the fruits and vegetables or buying premade juices?

    Thank you.

    • Hi Merry, thanks for stopping by. We are all familiar with the juice you buy in a bottle or can at the grocery store. Not everyone is aware that you can make fresh, healthy juice at home. Some grocery stores near me have apps with opportunities to buy fresh fruit and vegetables from them at a much reduced price. You can research if anything like that is available in your area.

Making your own juice at home may cost more unless you have a readily available source of produce. However, the freshly pressed juice has more nutrients which have not been destroyed in the processing of the juices found in your local grocery store.
