Things to Consider:

The Nordictrack T-series treadmill is best suited for home use. It has an excellent design, great features, and it’s easy to set up. It is also very affordable. If well maintained, the average treadmill should last about 10 years.

The smaller 1.9” rollers of the NordicTrack T Series make it not as durable as treadmills as those with larger 2.5” rollers. It is good for walking and jogging but not for intense interval workouts or frequent long-distance runs

Walking on a treadmill can be done quite well with a 48” long belt.

Runners should have a 20”-22” wide by 60” long treadmill belt. They should also, have at least a 3.0 HP motor to prevent slow starts and an overworked motor, which would decrease the life of the treadmill.

Why You Should Get a NordicTrack T Series Treadmill

  • The NordicTrack T-Series Treadmills have large LCD screens that display all your workout data so you can keep track of how much time you’ve spent exercising.
  • FlexSelect Cushioning has spongy orange dampeners under the deck that can be turned on or off.
  • 300 lb weight capacity
  • Full lifetime warranty on the frame.
  • 10% incline to engage glutes and hamstrings.
  • Hydraulic EasyLift Assist makes folding safe and simple.
  • 20 pre-programmed workouts on the console with easy to follow routines.
  • Self-cooling motor that won’t overheat to accommodate average walkers and joggers.
  • It’s very comfortable to walk or jog on.
  • Subscription iFIT provides studio-based, trainer led, classes. Global runs feature real-terrain training around the world.
  • Off-the-treadmill classes are available. “Daily Workout” tab accesses yoga, HIIT, or dumbbell workouts.

It is a good treadmill for power walking and jogging. The FlexSelect cushioning are shock absorbing to reduce the impact on your joints, they can also be adjusted to simulate a realistic road running experience.

Other things found on this treadmill are:

  • 10% Incline
  • 10 MPH Speed
  • Self-cooling, 2.6 continuous duty motor

The NordicTrack T Series Treadmill

NordicTrack is known for their high-tech treadmills. This treadmill can meet most of your needs. It is fashioned for the beginning fitness enthusiast, those looking for a machine that is small and folds. This treadmill has a good 10% power incline and speed of 10 MPH. It also has 20 pre-programmed workouts and a 30-day iFIT subscription to satisfy many enthusiasts.

However, the NordicTrack T Series (T6.5) is not as durable as other treadmills in its class. It is good for power walking and jogging, but it is not created for frequent long distance runs or interval training. You need a higher horsepower motor, a larger roller, and a longer belt to support long runs and interval training.

Pros:

  • Shock absorbing FlexSelect cushioning that can be turned on or off
  • Great for power walking or jogging
  • Easy-read LCD screen
  • Lifetime Frame warranty
  • Good speaker system

Cons:

  • Does not include a fan.
  • Takes two people to assemble
  • Poor placement of heart-rate sensor grips.
  • Not meant for intense training

What Customers Say

  • The price was right- for a treadmill of this caliber.
  • User-friendly speed and incline buttons.
  • Kind to my knees. No shaking or squeaking.
  • Screws are definitely a tight fit, I needed to use a drill.
  • Hold blue iFIT button down for 30 seconds to by-pass the iFIT
  • I recommend, a 10” screen.
  • Pretty good quality, there is lots of plastic, but it all feels solid and sturdy, should last for many years to come.

Who this Treadmill Is for and Who It Is Not for.

This treadmill will definitely work if you like to power walk or jog. If you want to add exercise into your life and improve your fitness this is the treadmill for you.

But if you are interested in training for a marathon, or want to frequently go on long-distance runs, you will want a treadmill with a higher horsepower, longer belt, and a larger roller.

The NordicTrack T Series Treadmill is not durable enough to sustain a full-fledged athlete who is doing serious, heavy-duty training. Also, tall runners should have a longer belt on which to run. If you want speed, this treadmill goes from 0.5 to 10 MPH, while some machines will go up to 12 MPH.

4 thoughts on “NordicTrack T Series Treadmill Review”

  1. When I owned a treadmill, I solely focused on one thing…walking. After reviewing your page, I was unaware that there was weight limits set for certain treadmills. Now it makes sense for our old treadmill to up and bite the biscuit!

I basically know where I’ll be turning to, or where i’ll be sending people, should they be searching for a NordicTrack or any other referred model you mentioned.

    Good job – Informative!

    1. Hi Jeremy, thanks for stopping by. Many home treadmills are not made as sturdy as those found in a gym. Some things I have found that make a big difference in the longevity of a treadmill is the size of the roller where the tread rotates, the HP of the motor, and the length of the deck. The deck length determines whether it is more comfortable to walk or is it possible to run on it. Weight limit is also a deciding factor in the life of a treadmill.

  2. Hey a great and helpful post!

I enjoy running however sometimes can’t be bothered to get out and jog and with the weather being unpredictable in this country or either being wet, I think it’ll be wise to invest in a treadmill !

I like how this one is a long lasting one as some don’t even put up but of course it does come with a larger pricing!

Have a great day and thanks for your suggestion!

    1. Hi Sariyah, Yes, the NordicTrack T Series is great for getting some necessary exercise without having to go outside. This treadmill is quite a popular treadmill which many people enjoy!
