      1-A nutrient imbalance like fat-soluble vitamins like vitamins A, D, E, and K and certain antioxidants are required for good health. It is essential to aim for a balanced variety of fruits and vegetables. 

      2-Insufficient calories. If you rely solely on juices you may consume an insufficient amount of calories for an extended period leading to poor health. 

      3-Blood sugar fluctuations. If you rely exclusively on fruits, you may find spikes in blood sugar levels. This can be problematic for individuals with diabetes or those who are sensitive to fluctuations in blood sugar. You need a balance between vegetables and low-sugar fruits in your juices for blood sugar levels to remain stable. 

      4-Disordered eating patterns. It may lead to an unhealthy relationship with food. 

      These side effects are more likely to occur if you rely on a total juice diet for an extended period.

      Always consult with a dietitian or other health care practitioner for your personal needs.

  2. Cool! It’s been awhile since I used a juicer, but this article made freshly pressed juices very appealing! Like, “picture a radiant, energetic version of yourself, brimming with vitality!” 

    For sure it is the juice that contains the bulk of the nutrients in any fruit or vegetable – and in some cases, like with carrots, for example. It would be hard to eat enough carrots to get all the nutritional value that carrots have to offer in large enough quantities to be therapeutic – but with a juicer it is definitely possible!

    I think it would be the same with celery. A lot of people have used celery juice to fight cancer, but it might be hard to eat enough stalks of celery to get the job done!

Personally I prefer a juice blend to help gather nutrients from a variety of fruit and vegetables. You can find lots of recipes here.

    • Hi Jeffery, thanks for stopping by. I am glad you enjoyed the post on Juicing. There are several different types of juicers. The cold press juicer makes the highest quality juice in my opinion. The Ninja JC151 is a popular, well priced cold press juicer.

      Centrifugal juicers are often the lowest price juicer. My complaints with the centrifugal juicer are 1-the foam in the juice, 2-it  does not store as well as cold pressed juice, and 3-the noise level while juicing. However, many people still purchase, and love their centrifugal juicers.

      Adding fresh fruit and vegetables to your diet, will fill you up and diminish your need and desire for ultra processed unhealthy foods. Making you happier and healthier in the long run! Happy juicing!
