Hello there,
This is a very nice article for both kids and parents alike, and I love the title by the way: Couch Potato Kids: How to Get Your Kids Excited About Fitness. Yes, I hear you, and well said. For me, it is like a wake-up call that hits me in the head as I found myself doing a lot of online work and sometimes goes for 6 hours straight unless I need to go to the bathroom or eat. We have a lot of snow where I’m but it will not stop me and the kids from doing our favorites activities, like playing Ping Pong downstairs, spin biking, and snow showing for sure. I feel like I’m talking to my doctor. I will promise I will be on it starting the first thing in the morning. Thank you so much for sharing.

Exercise does some pretty awesome stuff for the human body. It’s been grounded that wellness can improve our generally actual wellbeing. The effect that standard exercises have on our psychological well-being isn’t talked about that much but need to be talked about. The prospects here are really energizing!. The vast majority have listened to that working can help improve your disposition, yet that is just a hint of something larger. Great article, those are some things I notice .

I loved your article. Although I don’t have children I have taught many kids to ride horses over the years and really enjoyed watching them grow in so many ways. But I do think that many parents forget that it should be fun and it doesn’t have to cost a lot of money, parks are free and many have equipment these days. Hopefully, watching the recent Japan Olympics will inspire many children to get into activities where they can get healthier and shine.
Hi Lily, and thanks for dropping by with a comment. A good role model is often what it takes to get kids moving in the right direction. I am sure your work with kids and horses has had a lasting effect on many of their lives. If the parents make it fun to do, the kids are likely to enjoy it

Hi Diana, and thanks for stopping by with a comment! Children do live by our examples. What they see us do is a good indicator as to what they will want to do. Parents who play with their kids, usually have happier kids who grow up to form wholesome attitudes in life..
Well, I know for sure that in these days of PlayStations and indoor life, it is quite hard to get the kids from the couch and start moving! I really appreciate all your tips to change that attitude and I must say: to me, number 3 is a huge eye-opener: I will get moving together with them soon! Now we just need to find something that we can do together, any suggestions?
Hi LIzzy, and thanks for stopping by with a comment! The first thing that comes to mind to get everyone exercising together is hiking. Enjoying the great outdoors and getting fresh air is great for both mind and body. It is especially important since we have had to be inside for so long. Outdoor scavenger hunts can keep some friendly competition and keep them interested for a long time
As a former gymnast and gymnastics coach, I was happy to see your suggestion about doing gymnastics as a way to get kids off the couch! Gymnastics is a great sport for motor skills development and I am of the opinion that the sooner a child gets involved with sport (specifically gymnastics), the more likely they will benefit from said growth motor skill development.
I also think that getting kids in sports early in life, mitigate the couch potato lifestyle.
Hi Jay, and thanks for stopping by with a comment! I agree, gymnastics improves a kid’s development in so many ways. Those who don’t have that opportunity are missing out tremendously.
